American Inline Hockey League

 

The Phoenix Dragons is an Elite Inline Hockey club competing in the Elite and Minor divisions of the American Inline Hockey League (AIHL). Our teams are part of the Southwest region of the AIHL and play out of the Castle Sports Club in Phoenix, AZ. In 2009 The Phoenix Dragons Hockey Club joined the AIHL, an elite roller hockey league which falls under control of USARS, the NGB of Roller Sports.

The Phoenix Dragons won the 2008 National PIHA championships in their inaugural year.

 

In 2009, the Phoenix Dragons hockey club joined the AIHL, which fall under the NGB of Roller Sports USARS.

 

In 2010, The Phoenix Dragons Elite hockey team won the Southwest Division defeating their Tucson rival in overtime earning them a seed in the AIHL National Inline Hockey Playoffs at Disney Wide World of Sports in Orlando, FL.

 

While the Phoenix Dragons Elite and Minor inline hockey teams currently compete in the AIHL, the Jr. Phoenix Dragons compete in the Elite Divisions of the AAU Junior Olympics, WIHA/AAU, and Narch.

 

The success of the Phoenix Dragons has driven our hockey club to further invest in Elite youth hockey players and create the Jr. Phoenix Dragons hockey program.

The Phoenix Dragons/Team Excalibur hockey program is proud to have 3 players rostered on the USOC World Inline Hockey Team USA.

 

Allison Era - Team USA Womens World Inline Hockey

Allison Era is selected to the 2012 Team USA Women's World Inline Hockey roster for her fifth consecutive year. Allie Era is the first female from Arizona to make the Team USA inline hockey team (2008). In 2008, Allie was only 15, becoming the yougest girl to ever make the Team USA squad. Courtney Orner - Team USA Womens World Inline Hockey

Joining Allie on Team USA in 2010 is her Phoenix Dragons Minor inline hockey line-mate Courtney Orner (2009 First Alternate). Courtney played on Team USA Women's Inline Hockey in 2010 and 2011.

 

Danny Marmorstein - Team USA Mens World Inline Hockey

Danny Marmorstein was selected to the 2009 Team USA Men's World Inline Hockey roster for his first year on the team. Danny is the first Arizona player to make the Team USA Mens World Inline Hockey roster. Danny has performed well in the past years playing on Team USA Men's 21U and 18U inline hockey teams.

 

Both Allie and Danny competed for Team USA in the 2009 FIRS World Inline Hockey Championships in Varese, Italy last summer. Both Team USA Men and Women took home the Gold!
